Opportunity: ACLS-General Surgery
This is a locum tenens opportunity requiring coverage of approximately 20-21 days of call per month starting in September. Call shifts run from 8:00 AM to 8:00 AM the following day.
Job Details:
- Rural hospital setting with call coverage responsibilities
- Must be comfortable with scopes and treating food bolus/GI bleeds
- Low patient volume of 0-6 patient encounters per shift
- Board certification or eligibility required
- Required skills include general adult surgery and GI endoscopy (upper and lower including sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy)
- Preferred skills include trauma, laparoscopic surgery (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, Nissen fundoplication), chest wall/pleural procedures, chest tube insertion, and central line insertion
- 30-90 day credentialing timeframe
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Start date of August 1, 2025 with ongoing assignment potential
