Overview:
We are seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join a high-acuity Level III NICU in Illinois. This is an inpatient role in a fast-paced unit with a busy delivery service and ground transport responsibilities. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of Level III NICU experience and be proficient in all NICU core procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a daily caseload of approximately 10 patients (mix of Level III and step-down care)
- Attend cesarean sections and high-risk deliveries
- Perform chest tube insertions, central lines, and intubations
- Collaborate with 24/7 in-house Neonatologist and interdisciplinary care team
- Utilize Cerner EMR and IngeniousMed for billing documentation
- No call or call-backs required
Requirements:
- Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level III NICU (no new grads)
- Proficient in all core NICU procedures
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, high-acuity environment
- Illinois NP license (or willing to obtain)
