- Shifts: 12-hour shifts (days/nights), mix of weekday and weekend shifts
- Schedule: Full-time or Part-time options available
- On-Call: No on-call requirements
- Facility: 307-bed hospital with a Family Birthing Unit (Level 2 nursery) & a 10-bed pediatric unit
- Emergency Department Coverage: 4-bed Pediatric ED
- Responsibilities:
- Cover inpatient pediatric unit and nursery
- Attend high-risk deliveries ( 32 weeks)
- Provide neonatal resuscitation & intubation
- Perform procedures such as arterial puncture, lumbar puncture, umbilical vein catheterization, and pediatric resuscitation
- Average Admissions: Varies, dependent on census
- Patient Population: Pediatrics only
- EMR System: Epic
- Team Structure: 2 pediatricians per shift (1 covering floor, 1 covering ED)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics REQUIRED
- Maryland Medical License or IMLC REQUIRED
- Minimum 3 years experience REQUIRED
- NRP, BLS, PALS REQUIRED
- Local drive-in candidates only REQUIRED
- DEA & CSR License REQUIRED
- Clean background/no malpractice HIGHLY PREFERRED
