Facility:

This facility is a comprehensive healthcare center serving the Detroit Lakes community. The campus supports primary and several specialty care services in the clinic (including a very busy Urgent Care) with the hospital side including a women's/birthing center, MSP, ICU, OR, 24-hour CRNA services, imaging services including CT, MRI and digital mammography, and laboratory services. It has a Level III Trauma designation and is a qualifying NHSC Loan Repayment Site.

Opportunity: NP/PA - Emergency Medicine

This is a full-time Emergency Medicine position for a practitioner (physician assistant or nurse practitioner) interested in joining a team-oriented and fast-paced ED provider group. The group consists of board-certified physicians and advanced practice clinicians who collaborate to provide patient-centric care to the area. Job Details:
  • Emergency Medicine coverage will be eight and 12-hour shifts (64 hours/pay period) rotated among other provider schedules
  • Will involve care for all ages; must be trained in Family Medicine
  • Requires certification in ACLS, PALS, and ATLS within six months of start
  • Previous Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care experience is preferred
  • Master's or Doctorate in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelor's/Master's degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution required
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse (if NP) and as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in appropriate state
  • National certification in applicable area required
  • High customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others
  • Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills
  • Works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention
Compensation:

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
