Facility near Pittsburgh, PA seeking Urgent Care locums coverage Rates: $190/hr Opportunity Highlights
- Flexible Schedule: Minimum 10 shifts per month. Choose between full-time (12+ shifts per month) or part-time (10+ shifts per month) positions. Coverage needed Monday-Sunday, 8 AM - 8 PM.
- Multi-Site Experience: You'll travel between our Uniontown, Belle Vernon, Dunbar, and Mt. Pleasant sites, all within 30 miles of each other, providing diverse clinical experience.
- Independent Practice: You'll be comfortable working independently, seeing an average of 3-4 patients per hour.
- Supportive Environment: Benefit from onsite medical assistants and rad techs. If a physician isn't physically on site, remote physician support is available for escalation.
- Epic EMR: Utilize the Epic electronic medical record system for efficient charting.
- Fast Privileging: Estimated 90 days for full or temporary privileges.
- Provide comprehensive urgent care services to patients of all ages.
- Comfortably perform orthopedic procedures (splinting) and wound care.
- Manage a typical urgent care assignment, seeing patients with cold/flu symptoms, rashes, abrasions, lacerations, sprains, and minor burns.
- Perform procedures such as splints, X-rays/EKGs, drawing blood, and I&Ds.
- Refer high-acuity cases to the local Emergency Room.
- Education: MD or DO.
- Board Status: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or a primary care specialty with significant urgent care experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in urgent care, OR
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in emergency medicine.
- Your CV MUST clearly outline your urgent care and/or emergency medicine experience.
- Licensure: Active Pennsylvania State License required to apply.
- Certifications: Must hold CURRENT & ACTIVE BLS, ACLS, and PALS. These certificates MUST be submitted with your presentation.
- DEA & CSR: Active DEA and CSR licenses required.
- Skills:
- Must be comfortable seeing patients of all ages.
- Must be comfortable with orthopedic procedures (splinting) and wound care.
