• Practice Setting: Hospital-based (includes 4 hours of clinical time).
• Patient Demographics: Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric.
• Average Surgical Cases: Based on ER patient flow.
• Trauma Level: III
• EMR System: EPIC.
• OR Facilities: 9 operating rooms.
• Current Team: 4 general surgeons.

Procedural Requirements

• General Surgical Cases:
• Adult and trauma cases.
• Laser-certified procedures.
• Chest wall/pleural procedures.
• Ventilation management, central line insertion, PA catheter placement, chest tube insertion.
• Aneurysm repairs.
• Abdominal and vascular access devices, AV shunt, hernioplasty.
• Cholecystectomy, Nissen fundoplication.
• Upper and lower sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy.

Qualifications

• Board Certification: ABOS or AOBOS - Required.
• Licensing:
• Active Virginia license - Required (must already be active).
• BLS and ACLS certification - Required.
• COVID Vaccination: Preferred (must have before credentialing).
• Background: Clean background highly preferred.
