Locums Opportunity: Pediatric Surgeon - Marshfield, WI Availability
  • We are requesting locum coverage for Pediatric Surgery starting in September 2025.
  • Needed coverage will be roughly 2 weeks per month on-going. Nights and weekends are beeper call. Surgery residents in house, Locum will need to come in for emergencies and rounding over the weekend
  • Clinic/OR days are 7a-5p, Mon-Fri. Note that the first and last day hand offs are at 12p. This will mean five hour days will be scheduled. The remainder of the assignment the locum provider will be scheduled for full days 7a-5p. We are a Level II trauma center requiring 24/7 coverage for Pediatric Surgery. (PICU and NICU on site)
  • Coverage Need:
  • 9/22 (starting at noon) - 9/25 (ending at noon)
  • 10/31 (starting at noon) - 11/1 (ending at noon)
  • 11/26 (starting at noon)- 11/28 (ending at noon)
  • 11/30 (starting at noon)- 12/4 (ending at noon)
  • 12/28 (starting at noon)- 1/2 (ending at noon)
  • 1/5(starting at noon) - 1/10 (ending at noon)
  • Hours:
  • Clinic/OR: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • First & Last Day: Handoff at 12:00 PM (5-hour day)
  • Call: Nights and weekends (Beeper Call)
  • Call Ratio: 1:1
  • Weekend rounding and emergency response required Facility Details

    • Trauma Level: Level II (with PICU & NICU on site)
    • Beds in Facility: 24
    • Patients per Shift: 5-8
    • EMR System: Cerner
    • Setting: Clinic, OR, Emergency Response, Rounding
    Clinical Expectations
    • Scheduled clinic hours + call coverage
    • In-house surgery residents available
    • Locum will be required for emergencies and weekend rounds
    • Admissions and rounding required
    Licenses & Certifications (Required)
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Surgery
    • Fellowship in Pediatric Surgery - Required
    • ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS - Required
