Job Description : We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Workday Configuration Lead to oversee the configuration, optimization, and administration of Workday HCM and related modules. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise in Workday and a strong understanding of HR processes. The Workday Configuration Lead will serve as a subject matter expert, driving system enhancements, managing integrations, and partnering with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable HR technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the configuration and ongoing optimization of Workday modules including HCM, Recruiting, Compensation (Core & Advanced), Benefits, Learning, Succession Planning, and Payroll.
- Serve as the primary Workday Systems Administrator, ensuring system integrity, data accuracy, and security.
- Collaborate with HR, Talent Acquisition, and Benefits teams to implement new functionality and improve existing processes.
- Manage and mentor junior HRIS analysts, providing guidance and oversight on day‑to‑day tasks and project deliverables.
- Oversee system integrations and EIB data loads to support acquisitions, reorganizations, and other high‑volume transactions.
- Conduct audits and redesign security roles to ensure appropriate access and eliminate redundancy.
- Lead Workday enhancement projects including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to support HR metrics and executive decision‑making.
- Partner with external vendors and implementation partners to manage support cases and ensure timely resolution.
- Stay current with Workday releases and best practices, recommending and implementing relevant updates.
Qualifications
- Hands‑on Workday experience across multiple modules.
- HRIS experience with a strong background in system administration and configuration.
- Proven experience leading Workday implementations, upgrades, and optimization projects.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data integrity and process improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset.
- Experience managing and mentoring HRIS team members.
- Proficiency in Workday tools including EIB, Workday Docs, and security configuration.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with integrations such as Skillsoft Percipio and third‑party benefits administrators.
