Bedford Avenue Dentistry is looking for a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our energetic and goal-oriented team. We are seeking a candidate with at least one year of experience who is passionate about patient care and thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. Responsibilities:
- Perform professional dental cleanings and preventive treatments
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Conduct periodontal screenings and charting
- Take and review digital X-rays using Dexis
- Assist in diagnosing and treating periodontal disease
- Apply fluoride treatments and sealants as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix
- Utilize iTero scanning technology when applicable
- Ensure infection control protocols are followed for a safe and sterile environment
- Work collaboratively with dentists and team members to provide top-quality patient care
Qualifications:
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of Tennessee
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- Experience with Dentrix, Microsoft, Dexis, and iTero preferred (but not required)
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- A positive, dependable, and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented setting

Qualifications:
- Current dental hygienist license
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
Preferred Experience
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
- Clinical needs as required by office
