About The Team
The Service Monetization team manages systems for subscriptions, billing, and payments for millions of users worldwide. We focus on quality, reliability, and teamwork, building features for subscription management, customer incentives, payment integrations, fraud detection, and compliance. Our services support millions of subscriptions and transactions in a secure, scalable environment. This role reports to the Senior Engineering Manager, Revenue and Memberships, and is based in our San Francisco office.
About You
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 12+ years in building cloud-native applications, with a focus on backend and microservices.
- 5+ years managing engineering teams.
- Proficiency in Typescript, Go, Java, Python, and modern frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud, building scalable and secure applications.
- Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs to maximize impact and define product roadmaps.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
A Day in the Life
- Lead and mentor engineering teams, ensuring best practices and scalability.
- Manage daily operations including scrum ceremonies and project planning.
- Define and execute development roadmaps aligned with company goals.
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and communicate progress.
- Oversee project timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Conduct one-on-one meetings for feedback and career development.
- Monitor team performance and implement improvements.
- Stay updated on industry standards and security practices.
- Collaborate with DevOps and other engineering managers.
- Participate in hiring and onboarding new team members.

The pay range for this position is $235,000—$294,000 USD, depending on experience and location. Additional rewards include bonuses and health benefits.
