Base Pay Range $110,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Additional Compensation Types Annual Bonus Company Industry Polymer Plastics Manufacturing Location Norwood, MA Position Operations Manager - 2nd Shift Salary $120-$150K + Annual Bonus Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of people management experience in manufacturing (medical device preferred). BS in Engineering or BA in Business. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of GMPs, ISO 13485, and Lean/Six Sigma principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MRP systems. Nice to Have Skills & Experience Lean/Six Sigma certifications. Experience with Minitab, Ignition (SCADA), and optical measuring equipment. Advanced degree (MS Engineering or MBA). Day-to-Day Responsibilities Oversee all 2nd and 3rd shift manufacturing operations across two buildings on the Norwood campus. Manage daily production output, quality standards, and shop floor controls. Assign tasks and lead shift changeover meetings for both buildings. Collaborate with planning and engineering teams to ensure production schedules are met. Troubleshoot and resolve process and equipment issues; act as technical lead when needed. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies. Develop and mentor production leads and team members; ensure cross-training and onboarding plans are executed. Monitor departmental expenses and implement cost reduction strategies. Maintain compliance with Quality and EHS requirements, policies, and procedures. Report daily on schedule changes, equipment issues, and quality concerns to key stakeholders. Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment. This role is onsite 5 day per week, Monday Friday. Training will start on first shift, then hours will move to 5:00pm-1:00am.
