Position Overview

A PRN Clinical Transformation Specialist (CTS) serves as the primary resource for advanced clinical integration support at the Shriner’s Children’s Portland facility. The role provides ongoing user education, informatics support, and collaboration across teams, committees, and projects to advance clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

Support clinical integration, operations, and achievement of clinical excellence related to informatics.

Assist the Clinical Analyst in developing, delivering, communicating and evaluating staff education for clinical systems.

Leverage expertise in all clinical applications to instruct and coach team members.

Facilitate two‑way communication to establish and maintain understanding between Information Systems and Clinical departments.

Follow through to ensure final resolution of problems, recommend longer‑term solutions when appropriate, and communicate back to the individual reporting the issue.

Coordinate work with users and the IT department to resolve conflicts between workflow and clinical information systems.

Provide workflow analysis and recommendations to optimize clinical and non‑clinical EHR‑interfaced applications.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field.

Three years of experience in Clinical Informatics.

One year of experience with Electronic Medical Records.

One year of Epic experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Project Management Certification.

Informatics Certification.

Comprehensive understanding of clinical practices, operations, and administration.

Experience with Epic or other EHR systems.

Comfortable using MS Office Suite (Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
