Position Summary We are seeking an experienced dietician with head and neck cancer expertise for a per‑diem role in our newly formed Head and Neck Cancer Survivorship Clinic. The successful applicant will have experience with the oncology population in general and head and neck cancer in particular. Additional requirements include excellent patient communication skills and applicable enteral and non‑enteral needs for this patient population. The position requires onsite interaction with patients in a multidisciplinary setting only on Tuesdays.

Responsibilities

Manage comprehensive medical nutritional care of patients, including nutrition assessment, development of nutrition care plans, diet modification, nutrition education, and all activities involved in the nutritional needs of the patient population.

Develop and implement nutrition plans of care for patients based on assessment of nutritional needs, physician orders, clinical data, interdisciplinary health‑care plans, and standards of quality nutritional care.

Document all nutrition‑related information, including assessment, nutrition therapy recommendations, care plans, follow‑up data and changes, diet consultation results, discharge planning, daily clinical activities, and other related orders.

Provide patient education, counsel, and resources on prescribed therapeutic diets for patients and families.

Partner with food service staff to ensure meal, supplement, and nutrition support for patients, reviewing menu selections for compliance with modified diets.

Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.

Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree Clinical Dietitian required.

Licenses and Credentials

State License – Dietitian and Nutritionist required.

Registered Dietitian (RD) required.

Registere Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) preferred.

Heartsaver CPR AED Certification [CPR] preferred.

Experience Completed Internship.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to guide, teach, and motivate patients of all age populations.
