Engineering and Maintenance Manager
to join our Bellwood, Virginia plant. The role reports to the Plant Manager and leads continuous improvement of the Work Management System, ensures the effectiveness, reliability, and sustainability of all facility manufacturing assets, and leads the Project Engineering Team.

Responsibilities
Ensure plant manufacturing equipment operates reliably by deploying preventive and predictive maintenance practices and reliability analytics.
Drive sustained improvement across the plant in maintenance business process improvements to world‑class standards.
Establish and plan for all training to align maintenance and project engineering teams with company objectives.
Act as an organizational change agent focused on lean manufacturing, asset reliability, and controlled costs.
Utilize data to drive efficiency and effectiveness to improve customer satisfaction while managing spending.
Manage maintenance services and ensure operational reliability of plant equipment.
Facilitate advanced Reliability Engineering tools with emphasis on DMAIC methodology.
Ensure 5S compliance and create/manage overhaul schedules.
Develop and monitor plant goals/action plans for equipment uptime initiatives.
Assist the Plant Manager in system design improvements to reduce costs and increase productivity.
Utilize Lean manufacturing principles and processes (FMEA, Six Sigma, Kaizen, DMAIC) to maximize efficiency.
Plan, manage, and execute capital asset programs in compliance with the Annual Operating Plan.
Develop a network base with equipment vendors.
Initiate Cost Saving Initiatives, including utilities and equipment management, to improve costs, uptime, quality, and safety.
Lead the Department Planning/Scheduling process.
Create a work environment that promotes trust, teamwork, quality, and safety.
Assign accountability, build teams, hire, develop, evaluate, train, coach, and discipline with corrective action as needed.
Ensure adherence to safety policies and production of a quality product in compliance with federal and state guidelines and regulatory compliance.
Deploy TTI & Action Plan ownership to improve machine uptime and identify future engineering projects.
Identify and resolve problems through hands‑on problem solving and employee development.
Schedule, monitor, and manage TPM via Maximo, ensuring completion on time.
Drive continuous improvement of TPM routines based on MTBF data and technological improvements.
Monitor SQDC performance and daily work habits of Maintenance Mechanics.
Lead the Contracting Out process with the union.
Requirements
A minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a similar field.
Preferred: MBA.
Minimum of seven (7) years in a manufacturing/production environment leading maintenance and engineering.
Minimum of seven (7) years of plant engineering/management experience, including financial management and project development in a high‑volume/technology manufacturing sector.
Strong data‑driven career growth and responsibility background.
Strong PC skills, including Windows, Word, and Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
Proven ability to work in teams.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Experience
TPM‑based educational training.
SMRP certification preferred.
CMMS experience, extensive Maximo experience preferred.
CPMM‑Certified Plant Maintenance Manager preferred.
