Base pay range: $50,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr. Pay will be based on your skills and experience.

Role Overview The Technology & Infrastructure Lead is a hands‑on role responsible for the day‑to‑day reliability, security, and performance of all technology systems supporting an orthopedic surgery practice. The position serves as the primary internal owner of IT operations, working closely with clinical staff, leadership, and external vendors to ensure technology enables efficient, secure, and uninterrupted patient care.

Core Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Systems (Hands‑On)

Maintain and support servers, networks, firewalls, workstations, printers, imaging devices, and mobile hardware.

Administer Microsoft 365, cloud systems, backups, and endpoint management.

Ensure strong partnership with practice management (PM), EHR, and PACS vendors to maintain stable workflows.

Troubleshoot and resolve escalated IT issues in real time, including clinic and OR support.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

Own HIPAA security controls, access management, MFA, and user permissions.

Manage backups, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity planning.

Monitor security risks, phishing threats, and system vulnerabilities.

Coordinate security audits, vendor risk reviews, and incident response.

Clinical & Operational Support

Support orthopedic‑specific technologies including imaging systems, dictation, surgical scheduling, and clinical documentation tools.

Partner with clinical leaders to improve workflows through technology.

Support new provider onboarding, clinic expansions, and equipment rollouts.

Vendor & IT Partner Management

Act as the primary liaison with managed service providers, EHR vendors, imaging vendors, and telecom providers.

Manage contracts, SLAs, and IT budgets in collaboration with leadership.

Coordinate upgrades, patches, and system transitions.

Documentation & Process Improvement

Document systems, configurations, policies, and recovery procedures.

Establish scalable IT standards as the practice grows.

Proactively recommend technology improvements to enhance efficiency and security.

Preferred Experience & Skills

Hands‑on IT experience in healthcare, surgery centers, or multi‑site medical practices.

Strong understanding of HIPAA, cybersecurity best practices, and clinical workflows.

Experience supporting EHR, PM, PACS, or imaging systems (orthopedic experience a plus).

Comfortable working directly with physicians, clinical staff, and executive leadership.

Ability to operate independently while coordinating with external IT vendors.
