Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Quality Systems Engineer to join our elevator manufacturing team at Elevator Controls Corporation. Sacramento, CA. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a network of Quality Systems Engineers and Plant Quality Teams across multiple business units to drive continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001:2015 standards. Additionally, you will provide critical support and leadership in supplier quality to ensure compliance and operational excellence within the plant.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) framework that ensures full compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and other applicable industry standards.

Collaborate with plant teams and cross‑functional Business Unit System Engineers to define the current process and optimized future‑state process, promoting standardization wherever feasible.

Develop and deploy standardized Vantage Document and Change Control System ensuring all procedures and supporting documentation are accurate, current, and aligned with company policies and quality standards.

Develop, lead, and enforce comprehensive supplier quality management programs.

Leadership in resolving supplier quality issues that exceed plant‑level capability.

Lead the implementation and enforcement of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process.

Develop Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) Program and oversee its effective implementation across the organization.

Facilitate strong alignment and communication between Sourcing, Procurement, Engineering, and Operations.

Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in quality systems and quality engineering

3 years of experience in quality, quality systems, or related field

Highly experienced in electronic component manufacturing and processes

Knowledgeable in light assembly process and metal components

Experience in blueprint and GD&T reading

Experience in the creation and implementation of Quality System/ Quality Manual

Proficiency in APQP, PPAP, FAI, FMEA, MQA (Master Quality Agreement) & MSA (Master Supply Agreement), CP

Strong critical thinking skills

Proficient in structured problem solving and root cause analysis (RCA)

Ability to command authority and lead effectively

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software

Strong in leveraging AI and machine learning tools

Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally.

Salary Range for Sacramento, CA applicants: $80,000‑$90,000 annual salary, potential for bonus and full benefits
