$21.00/hr – $24.00/hr .

The

Security Officer

role maintains a safe environment by actively monitoring premises, patrolling locations, enforcing regulations, and providing customer service to clients and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Access Control: Manage entry and exit procedures, screen visitors and employees, and operate gates or remote access devices.

Customer Service: Provide courteous, respectful interactions with employees and visitors, presenting a professional image of the client and security team.

Monitoring & Patrols: Conduct foot or vehicle patrols to identify hazards, security violations, or unauthorized individuals; inspect buildings and grounds.

Incident Response: Protect evidence, secure accident or emergency scenes, and respond to fire, medical, hazardous materials, or weather-related incidents following established procedures.

Reporting: Prepare logs, reports, and documentation using clear grammar and professional standards; review and act on security control logs.

Safety Enforcement: Ensure property removal complies with client policies; direct individuals causing disturbances to leave the premises.

Additional Duties: Perform other security-related tasks as required by site needs.

Minimum Qualifications

At least 18 years of age

High School Diploma or GED (or willingness to complete GED within six months)

Legal right to work in the United States

Reliable communication and transportation

Ability to speak, read, and write English

Successful completion of pre‑employment screening (drug test, background check)

Preferred Experience

Prior security or related experience

Knowledge of security operations and procedures

Competencies

Ability to remain professional under pressure and in unusual circumstances

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

Effective communication (oral and written)

Team‑oriented with adaptability to changing environments

Organizational skills and attention to detail

Working Conditions

Frequent standing, walking, and occasional climbing or lifting (up to 25 lbs)

Exposure to inclement weather and potentially stressful situations

May require overtime and use of protective gear

Ability to maintain composure when interacting with authorities, executives, staff, and the public
