About the role
As part of the Shopify Revenue team, the Enterprise Solutions Engineer role brings business value, technical aptitude, product expertise and pre‑sales project management. You will solutionize for technical and business challenges with prospective brands, drive technical solutioning for merchants, build POCs, lead demonstrations and enable sales and cross‑functional teams to show how merchants can accelerate growth with Shopify for Enterprise.
Responsibilities
Drive technical solutioning for merchants, build proofs of concept, and lead demonstrations.
Collaborate with sales, development partners, and agencies to qualify and close deals from a technical perspective.
Engage clients through requirements discovery and strategic consulting sessions.
Create customized product demos and proofs of concept for virtual or on‑site clients.
Act as a subject‑matter expert on projects with cross‑functional teams.
Participate in webinars and in‑person events, and speak at industry engagements.
Become an expert on Shopify’s application ecosystem and integrations.
Align with product and RnD teams on roadmaps, provide feedback on released features and client trends.
Mentor and coach the sales team on technical aspects of Shopify for Enterprise.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in pre‑sales solutions engineering or consulting.
Strong executive presence and ability to articulate ideas to key stakeholders.
Solid understanding of cloud‑based technologies and SaaS fundamentals.
Deep understanding of technical strategy for operating and growing commerce businesses.
Hands‑on front‑end web development skills (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Liquid).
Strong API knowledge (REST and GraphQL) for enterprise integrations.
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Ability to prioritize work in a high‑velocity environment.
Native or fluent in English, Spanish and Italian.
Bonus experience
Experience with the Shopify platform.
eCommerce experience and knowledge of latest trends (storefront implementation, omni‑channel, supply chain, B2B).
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., GitHub).
Entrepreneurial experience.
Fluency in Spanish and/or Italian.
