Job Summary The IAM Specialist will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's identity and access management systems. This role ensures that only authorized individuals have appropriate access to our critical systems and data, safeguarding our digital assets and maintaining compliance. The IAM Specialist will collaborate with various teams to implement and enforce security policies and best practices.
Responsibilities
Experience using identity and access tools and systems in a distributed IT environment
Experience with IAM monitoring tools. Experience analyzing logs for anomalous user behavior.
Five or more years’ experience working in one or more of the following fields: computer science, cybersecurity, computer information systems, etc.
Demonstrated skills applying secure user authentication and account management standards to computer software and hardware.
Strong knowledge of IAM principles, technologies, and best practices, including experience with role‑based access control (RBAC) and Identity Governance Administration (IGA), and privileged access management (PAM).
Familiarity with directory services (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP), authentication (e.g., Single Sign‑On (SSO)) technologies, and multi‑factor authentication (MFA) solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and is able to communicate technical information and ideas to a diverse community of colleagues and stakeholders.
Able to establish and advance positive working relationships and a strong rapport with team members, stakeholders, and customers.
Strong organizational skills and is able to balance competing priorities and support concurrent projects. Experience working in a project‑based environment using leading project management practices including schedule management, status reporting, and communication of project risks and issues. (Required)
Strong demonstrated problem‑solving skills; scopes solutions based on knowledge of available resources and timelines. Able to ask questions, gather information, evaluate options, and make decisions with integrity. (Required)
Thinks creatively and proposes innovative ideas, including the incorporation of new technologies or processes. Is able to work with agility in a fast‑paced environment. (Required)
Supports additional TechOps projects and tasks, as needed.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, related field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in IAM administration and implementation.
Strong understanding of IAM principles and best practices.
Experience with IAM tools and technologies (e.g., Okta, Entra ID, Intune, AD, SailPoint, CyberArk).
Knowledge of authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, LDAP).
Experience with role‑based access control (RBAC).
Familiarity with security compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS).
Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with cloud‑based IAM solutions.
Experience scripting and automating IAM processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+).
