Cloud Infrastructure Architect
Join the technology team of a major global automotive group (Confidential Client) in their Americas DEVOPS Hub. We are seeking a high-level Cloud Infrastructure Architect to develop and drive the adoption of cutting‑edge cloud architectures that support rapid product development and operational excellence.
This is a senior, hands‑on role focused on building robust, secure, and highly available cloud solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. You will be responsible for defining the future state of cloud infrastructure and ensuring global standards are met across all implementations.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design – Develop and maintain leading‑edge cloud architectures and technologies to support DEVOPS Hubs Americas' product teams.
High Availability – Identify emerging technologies with cloud providers (AWS, Azure) to build highly resilient IaC solutions with availability reaching 99.999% uptime.
Containerization – Design and create Kubernetes architecture and tools for product teams, evaluating and implementing managed solutions like EKS and AKS from vendors.
Infrastructure as Code – Develop cluster creation/maintenance scripts using IaC tools (Terraform) and enforce version control (Bitbucket) with strong branching/merging strategies.
CI/CD Pipeline – Deploy and utilize CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) for the automated creation of clusters.
Security & Compliance – Enforce user management and role management across AWS and Azure following Group security standards.
Monitoring & Logging – Perform and create cluster monitoring and infrastructure health reporting (e.g., using Prometheus, Grafana).
Consultation – Provide operational expertise, consulting, and support to product teams using the developed platforms.
Required Skills & Experience
Deep expertise in developing cloud architectures on major platforms (AWS, Azure).
Proven experience designing and implementing Kubernetes clusters (EKS, AKS, or similar).
Expert‑level knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically using Terraform.
Strong understanding and experience with CI/CD pipeline tools and deployment strategies (e.g., Jenkins).
Experience with user and role management in cloud environments, ensuring compliance with global security standards.
Proficiency in monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
Pay range: $64.00/hr – $88.00/hr
