Programmer – Milwaukee, WI
Manufacturing Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment.
Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Programmer to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure product and process quality in our manufacturing operations.
Role and Responsibilities
Organize CAD files from design engineers.
Use SigmaNest software to create cut packages.
Use SigmaNest tools to maximize utilization, increase use of remnants, use available stock material, and keep multiple cutting machines organized and balanced based on machine capabilities and material properties.
Creatively solve production-related issues through nesting processes.
Select machine and tooling configurations to manufacture parts cost effectively.
Respond to rework requests.
Communicate effectively and professionally with stakeholders.
Support production-related priorities and deadlines.
Requirements
Experience with SigmaNest software.
Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office platforms.
Experience operating CNC equipment cutting sheet/plate is a plus.
Experience with AutoCAD & SolidWorks is a plus.
Knowledge of metal cutting, dimensional tolerancing, cutting geometry, and tooling.
Must pass competency test and pre‑employment physical, including drug screen.
