A growing manufacturer in the
medical device and high-precision molding industry
is seeking a
Project Engineer
to lead technical project execution from quoting through production launch. This engineer will work closely with customers, tooling suppliers, and internal teams to support new programs and contribute to ongoing technical excellence.
What You’ll Do
Lead projects from early quoting through production launch, ensuring technical requirements and timelines are met.
Review part designs and provide input related to draft, tooling considerations, side actions, and manufacturability.
Evaluate mold designs, tooling features, and process requirements for new and existing programs.
Support molding operations, including
LSR, HCR, gum silicone, thermoplastic, and thermoset injection molding .
Utilize strong knowledge of APQP and manufacturing best practices, including DOE, capability studies, tolerance analysis, and automation integration.
Coordinate with internal and external suppliers, including tooling vendors and automation partners.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously using tools such as MS Project, Gantt charts, and ERP systems.
Support secondary processes such as automated assembly, deflashing, decorating, and testing.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Plastics, or related Engineering discipline.
5+ years of experience in plastics or medical manufacturing .
Strong understanding of injection molding processes, tooling, materials, and mold construction.
Hands-on experience with automation concepts, secondary operations, and APQP methodologies.
Excellent communication skills and ability to represent the company professionally to customers and suppliers.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and ERP systems (IQMS preferred).
Strong organizational and project planning abilities.
