OB/GYN Locums Bolivar Medical Center (MS)
Bolivar Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN for 10 days/month ongoing call coverage starting October 2025. This opportunity offers fast-track credentialing , is open to IMLC licensure (with full IPL Health Staffing support), and includes a mix of inpatient/outpatient practice with excellent L&D and OR staff.

Facility: Bolivar Medical Center ScionHealth
Location: Cleveland, MS (nearest airport: Memphis; lodging at Cotton House)
Start Date: October 1, 2025
Contract Length: Ongoing (10 days/month)
Coverage Type: Call-only (inpatient + outpatient)
Practice Setting: Hospital-based with outpatient responsibilities
EMR: MEDHOST
Credentialing: Fast-track/emergency credentialing available (quick turnaround with complete submissions)

Schedule

  • Ongoing: 10 days/month

    • Flexible: two 5-day stints or 10 consecutive days

  • Preferred coverage: Wednesday Sunday blocks twice per month

  • Immediate upcoming dates(plus 5 additional days in each month if desired):

    • October (plus 5 additional days in October)

    • Thanksgiving week: November

    • December

Practice Details

  • Average births per year: 330

  • Admissions per day: 1 2

  • Phone consults per day: 2 3

  • Patients per shift: 2

  • Staffing: Experienced L&D staff with NP director; strong OR and L&D support

  • Trauma Level: IV

Required Certifications

  • Board Certification in OB/GYN

  • Fellowship in OB/GYN

  • ACLS & BLS

Fetal Monitoring and NRP certification is a plus!

Required Skills

  • High-risk pregnancy

  • Low-risk pregnancy

  • FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)

  • OB ultrasounds (Level I/II screening & targeted/anatomic)

  • Amniocentesis

  • Routine deliveries (vaginal, low forceps, decision-making for C-section)

  • Complicated deliveries

  • C-section

  • Breech

  • Multiple births

  • Abruptions

  • Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations

  • Surgical gynecology: open, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor (tubal ligation, LOAs), operative/major (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs)

Preferred Skills

  • Office/minor gynecology: IUDs, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.

  • NRP certification

Not Required

  • VBACs

  • Laser certification

Licensing

  • MS license or IMLC accepted

  • IPL Health Staffing will assist with IMLC applications and expedited credentialing to ensure on-time start
