A law firm seeks an experienced and motivated Attorney for its Birmingham, Alabama office. The Counsel will focus on Personal Injury practice and regular litigation in state and federal courts, playing a pivotal role in advocating for clients' rights and delivering outstanding legal services. Duties
Manage discovery, including propounding and responding to written discovery, taking and defending depositions, and analyzing complex documents. Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings and complex motions. Perform legal research and make court appearances as necessary. Participate in case strategy discussions and contribute innovative ideas. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and team members. Collaborate with senior attorneys on cases. Requirements
Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Active license to practice law. Able to manage and oversee cases independently. 10+ years of experience in litigation; Personal Injury, product and premise liability, medical malpractice experience preferred. Proficiency in Adobe, Excel, Microsoft Office, and Outlook. Familiarity with E-Discovery and law programs such as Sharefile, PACER, CaseAnywhere, Lexis, Smart Advocate, Everlaw, FileVine, and OneLegal. Detail-oriented, organized, team player, reliable, capable of multitasking and managing several time-critical projects under tight deadlines. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Education
Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school. Certifications
Active license to practice law. Skills
Proficiency in Adobe, Excel, Microsoft Office, Outlook. Familiarity with E-Discovery and law programs such as Sharefile, PACER, CaseAnywhere, Lexis, Smart Advocate, Everlaw, FileVine, OneLegal.
