Location: Estero, FL | Salary: $80,000.00–$100,000.00 | Employment type: Full‑time | Seniority level: Mid‑Senior

Position Objective This position is responsible for developing annual, seasonal, monthly, and weekly plans using current sales and trend information. It translates the merchant’s vision into viable plans and profitable results across Omni channels and participates in cross‑functional initiatives aligned with the brand’s strategic goals. Responsibilities often relate to larger volume or more complex areas of business.

Functional Responsibilities

Partner with merchants to develop pre‑season sales, markdown, margin, sales, and inventory plans.

Develop projections and inventory flow for key items and collections.

Provide analysis related to business goals (e.g., hindsights, color‑selling).

Forecast monthly and seasonal plans to ensure orders fall within approved financial targets.

Analyze and react to strategy performance based on actual sales and current trend data.

Partner with merchants to develop and propose tactics in response to current business trends.

Make recommendations for key financial meetings/decisions to maximize sales, margin, and inventory productivity.

Manage and execute promotional and liquidation strategy.

Communicate revisions within the team and cross‑functionally.

Utilize seasonal selling curves by region, climate, and store attribute with cross‑functional partners.

Identify opportunities to maximize sales potential beyond everyday business.

Prepare and participate in Merchandise Review meetings (MBR, seasonal hindsight).

Act as a resource and leader for the planning team and cross‑functional partners.

Supervise and develop merchandise planner(s) and/or associate planner(s).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in finance, operations, or business.

5+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning, demand forecasting, inventory management, allocation or replenishment, or financial planning/analysis.

Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills; aptitude with numbers; retail math proficiency; understanding of forecasting methodology.

Ability to make decisions with limited information and synthesize large data sets to drive business decisions.

Strong communication and presentation skills; can present complex information concisely to various audiences.

System proficiency with emphasis on Excel.

Builds collaborative partnerships cross‑functionally and influences critical stakeholders.
