Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize SAP HANA native models, such as Calculation Views, CDS Views, Stored Procedures, and SQLScript to support backend data processing and aggregations

Build and maintain efficient ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from SAP and non-SAP systems, including SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and other third-party sources

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable data flows and data architectures, enabling robust analytics and operational reporting

Develop end-to-end data workflows, ensuring high data quality while identifying and resolving data discrepancies through monitoring and troubleshooting processes

Support and enhance business processes with custom analytics, KPI tracking, and actionable insights, all powered by SAP HANA backend solutions

Optimize data processing performance for large datasets and complex workflows, leveraging SAP HANA in-memory database capabilities

Contribute to cross-team projects by working collaboratively with engineers, business analysts, and solution architects to gather requirements and deliver high-quality, tailored solutions

Actively participate in Agile (SAFe) workflows, including sprints, planning, and retrospectives, while delivering incremental value to stakeholders

Document and maintain technical best practices, processes, and knowledge sharing for key SAP HANA solutions

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field

3+ years of experience in SAP HANA development or equivalent roles in the SAP space

Proven expertise in SAP HANA native modeling, including strong hands-on experience with Calculation Views, CDS Views, Procedures, and SQLScript

Experience in designing and maintaining ETL workflows and data pipelines, with specific experience in SAP environments like HANA

Familiarity with the integration of SAP systems such as SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, or other legacy systems into data workflows

Expertise in data performance optimization, database tuning, and ensuring scalability for large-scale datasets

Proficiency in Agile methodologies and the use of collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence

Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset

Nice to have

Background in the manufacturing or engineering industries, especially in areas such as quality assurance or supply chain analytics

Experience with SAP Datasphere, SAP Data Intelligence, or related modern SAP integration tools
