Minimum Requirements
Certification as an Aircraft Mechanic by the Federal Aviation Administration with Airframe and Powerplant Ratings.
Possession of a valid driver license.
Location Fort Myers, FL
Job Duties This is a highly responsible technical position requiring a skilled aircraft mechanic who holds a current Airframe and Powerplant License. Certification by the Federal Aviation Administration authorizes maintenance and repair on modern sophisticated aircraft and turbine‑powered helicopters.
Responsibilities include:
Performing maintenance, preventive maintenance, rebuilding and alterations on assigned reciprocating engine aircraft and turbine engine helicopters as prescribed by applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
Conducting scheduled inspections, researching applicable airworthiness directives, and complying with them using computers, microfiche and paper manuals.
Completing necessary inspection forms and entries into logbooks and computer records; requesting parts to be ordered in a timely manner.
Maintaining work area in a safe, neat, and orderly manner.
Coordinating with the supervisor and pilots to analyze reported malfunctions and performing repairs or adjustments as required.
Deploying to field locations as necessary to provide mechanical, fuel, and helibase support to deployed aircraft, including routine and emergency maintenance of maintenance facilities and ground support equipment.
Assisting with building and ground maintenance, administrative tasks, property inventory, and other duties as assigned.
