CMTA (formerly AMA Group), a Legence Company, is one of the fastest‑growing engineering firms in the U.S., known for sustainable, high‑performance building systems and complex MEP/FP delivery. \ Through AMA’s design expertise in media, broadcast, and production facilities—and CMTA’s national portfolio in education, healthcare, and zero‑energy projects—we pair deep technical craft with an innovative, collaborative culture that accelerates careers. \ Senior Project Engineer – AV \ This hands‑on role involves developing audiovisual (AV) design requirements on a variety of projects, working under the guidance of senior engineers. \ Key Responsibilities \ \ Meet with clients and discuss requirements to develop AV design solutions. \ Design and coordinate audio/video systems for boardrooms, collaboration rooms, huddle spaces, town‑hall venues, conference and multipurpose rooms. \ Produce 2D and 3D drawings for architectural layouts of AV equipment and system schematic diagrams. \ Organize and lead coordination meetings, and document detailed minutes. \ \ Desired Skills and Experience \ \ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline; CTS certification is a plus. \ 4+ years of experience in AV designing, planning, and project management. \ Working knowledge of key audio, video, and audiovisual products from major manufacturers (Crestron, Extron, BiAmp, QSC, Shure, Poly, Cisco, etc.). \ Understanding of computer networks for IP‐based audio/video signal transport and unified communications. \ Expertise with sound systems – microphone and speaker requirements, placement, and acoustic integration. \ Experience in developing RFPs and resource management. \ Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. \ AVIXA CTS/CTS‑D and manufacturer‑sponsored certifications are a plus. \ Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project) expected. \ \ The Employee Experience \ People are at the heart of what we do.
