TEGUAR
About the Role
You'll be the hands‑on bridge between customers, Sales, and Engineering—validating hardware solutions, documenting results, and closing the loop on issues in the lab and in the field. Your work accelerates design‑ins, de‑risks deployments, and raises product quality for industrial and medical use cases.
What you'll do
Pre‑sales validation:
Plan and execute hardware/software validation (power‑on, imaging, driver/firmware, thermal/EMI pre‑checks), produce test reports, and present findings to customers to secure design‑ins and approvals. Target turnaround: ≤5 business days for standard requests.
Witness & onsite testing:
Serve as technical lead for customer or NRTL witness tests; capture logs, reproduce issues, and align on pass/fail criteria and risks.
Technical risk reviews:
Review specs/SOWs for feasibility, identify edge cases, and propose mitigations (alternate components, BIOS/UEFI settings, thermal profiles).
Post‑sales support:
Lead escalations from production or field, drive root‑cause with Engineering/Ops/Suppliers, and document corrective actions, aiming for >90% first‑pass fix.
Medical documentation:
Create/maintain V&V artifacts, change records, and traceability aligned to IEC 60601‑1/‑1‑2, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971 (as applicable).
Continuous improvement:
Trend validation failures/RMAs and recommend design or process changes to reduce defects and time‑to‑resolution.
Requirements
BS in Electrical/Computer/Systems Engineering (or related) with 2+ years industry experience; OR a minimum of 5 years in hands‑on hardware applications, validation, or systems integration in lieu of education; OR a equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years with Windows & Linux imaging, UEFI/BIOS configuration, driver integration, and peripheral bring‑up (USB, serial, Ethernet, Wi‑Fi/BT, storage).
Solid bench/lab skills: DMM/oscilloscope, thermal testing, ESD‑safe handling, fixture setup, log capture (kernel, event, IPMI/BMC where applicable).
Scripting for test and triage (Python and/or PowerShell).
Experience writing crisp test plans/reports for external customers.
Excellent customer‑facing communication and issue‑ownership across Sales, Ops, and Engineering.
Preferred Skills
Medical/regulated environment exposure (IEC 60601‑x, ISO 13485, IEC 62304 familiarity).
Imaging at scale (MDT, Clonezilla, PXE), secure boot/TPM, BIOS customization workflows.
Jira/Confluence, PLM/ERP, Git; basic PCB/ECAD literacy for reading schematics.
EMI/EMC pre‑compliance experience; thermal profiling/burn‑in design.
Seniority level:
Associate
Employment type:
Full‑time
Locations:
Rock Hill, SC
