Core Responsibilities
RF Circuit Design Assistance: Support the design and analysis of RF/Microwave components, including filters, amplifiers, mixers, and antennas.
Test and Measurement: Perform hands-on testing and tuning of RF/Microwave circuits and subsystems using advanced test equipment (Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators).
Modeling and Simulation: Utilize computer software tools (e.g., ADS, MATLAB) to model and simulate RF system performance and verify design requirements.
Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret RF measurement data to troubleshoot performance issues and generate comprehensive technical reports.
Hardware Integration: Assist in the integration and performance verification of RF components into larger subsystem and system-level architectures.
Key Qualifications And Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field, with coursework focused on electromagnetics, RF/Microwave theory, and wireless communications.
Experience: 1-2 years of professional experience in an RF/Microwave lab environment or equivalent academic/internship experience.
RF Fundamentals: Strong knowledge of electromagnetic theory, transmission line theory, and RF system parameters (Gain, VSWR, Noise Figure, etc.).
Test Equipment: Hands-on experience setting up and operating RF test equipment, particularly a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) and Spectrum Analyzer.
Simulation: Familiarity with RF/EM simulation software (e.g., ADS, HFSS) is highly desired.
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance (Secret or higher).
Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 per year
