Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dependable
Chief Engineer
to lead the daily maintenance and engineering operations of our hotel. This role is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the property, ensuring safety and brand standards are met, and supporting a positive guest experience through proactive maintenance and prompt service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of the hotel
Complete preventative maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
Maintain all equipment in clean, safe, and fully functional condition
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete work orders efficiently
Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance and repair records
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures
Maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment for guests and team members
Provide professional, positive, and timely service when interacting with guests
Collaborate with hotel leadership and department teams to support operations
Adhere to Hilton brand standards and quality assurance requirements
Report damaged, missing, or unsafe hotel property to management
Complete additional tasks as assigned by hotel management
Job Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum1 year of maintenance experience (hotel or apartment maintenance experience preferred)
Customer service experience preferred; hotel or guest-facing experience preferred
General knowledge of building maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry preferred)
Valid driver’s license required with a minimum of three (3) years of driving experience
Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and perform physical tasks as required
Reliable availability, including weekends and holidays
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
