Integration Support Lead Engineer (MuleSoft)

Join KPMG US’s Digital Nexus technology organization in this hybrid role, providing advanced support for MuleSoft integrations.

Responsibilities

Serve as the subject‑matter expert for MuleSoft, overseeing daily operation and health; collaborate with specialists to resolve complex integration issues.

Manage and prioritize production support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with stakeholders; perform root‑cause analysis and implement preventive measures to maintain system stability.

Diagnose and resolve complex system configuration, production, and deployment problems; use monitoring and logging tools (e.g., MuleSoft Monitoring, queues) to address performance bottlenecks.

Work closely with cross‑functional teams (business analysts, developers, project managers) to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions; communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Design, develop, and deploy MuleSoft APIs, integrations, and batch processes using Anypoint Studio, Anypoint API Manager, and CloudHub.

Qualifications

Minimum five years of recent experience in enterprise integration with practical experience on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.

Preferred bachelor’s degree; MuleSoft Certified Developer (Mule 4) a plus.

Extensive experience designing and implementing MuleSoft solutions (API‑led connectivity, RESTful/SOAP APIs, DataWeave); proficiency with Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Runtime Manager, DataWeave, Mule 4.x runtime, API governance, and security policies (OAuth 2.0).

Solid understanding of integration patterns, protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, JMS, JDBC), and data formats (JSON, XML, CSV); working knowledge of CI/CD concepts (Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps), DevOps practices, and cloud platforms.

Ability to triage and resolve complex technical issues independently; translate business needs into scalable, maintainable solutions.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship; KPMG will not sponsor U.S. work visas.
