Job Overview SAM Mechanical Services LLC, a Crete United company, has grown from a two‑man operation into one of the leading plumbing and HVAC contractors in New Hampshire. We are looking for an HVAC Service Technician located in Merrimack, NH, and surrounding counties for a full‑time permanent position.

$35.00 – $45.00 per hour DOE + company vehicle

What You'll Do

Able to respond professionally to service calls and manage workload

Lead, mentor, and train up to four HVAC technicians for light commercial and residential work

Communicate effectively with customers, explaining problems and recommended solutions

Use troubleshooting guides to identify issues quickly and consistently check system operations and safety before leaving job locations

Keep proper tools and instruments while troubleshooting and incorporate solution techniques to assist other service representatives

Schedule arrival and departure with customers and offer suggestions to customers when system problems are caused by the customer

Determine priorities based on a call schedule, respond to inadvertent interruptions, carry proper tools and materials, and schedule vehicle maintenance

Promptly and accurately complete all required paperwork and obtain customer signature on all service reports

Keep supervisor and manager informed of new developments, changes, or customer complaints

Sign up for memberships and technical organizations to improve knowledge and skills, and keep technical knowledge current regarding equipment and concepts

Qualifications

3–5 years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience

NH Gas license and Journeyman License preferred

Previous leadership, management, or mentorship experience

Universally EPA Certified

Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills

Ability to troubleshoot HVAC components with built‑up systems and package units, including chiller air handler pump towers, cooling towers, control systems, boilers, and air handling systems

Demonstrated refrigeration and controls experience

Demonstrated commercial expertise in boilers, chillers, pneumatic controls, digital controls, and packaged HVAC equipment

Valid driver’s license

Ability to lift up to 70 pounds

High school diploma or GED required, plus equivalent work experience
