Surety Integration Engineer The Surety Integration Engineer will develop and integrate safety disciplines across the next‑generation Sea‑Based Strategic Deterrence program, ensuring nuclear, range, and personnel safety requirements are met throughout the system life cycle.

Responsibilities

Integrate cross‑program safety disciplines into the architecture, requirements, and design of the Sea‑Based Strategic Deterrence system.

Oversee the implementation of safety into the design and build across disciplines, ensuring no safety escapes.

Ensure adherence to Nuclear Safety, Range Safety, and Personnel Safety requirements and best practices, and oversee verification and testing campaigns.

Integrate Surety products such as Hazard Analyses and Fault Tree Analyses to provide full coverage across the system lifecycle.

Integrate multiple program disciplines to understand complex issues and develop a Nuclear Missile Surety that preserves the integrity of the Nuclear Surety Philosophy.

Support Operational Safety Studies (OSRs) and Special Safety Studies (SSS).

Coordinate safety disciplines into cross‑branch problem investigations with Navy partners and SPP Headquarters.

Generate and review project material for Support Equipment and Missile Alteration Projects.

Facilitate interaction among program safety stakeholders, including facility, material, explosive, and range safety disciplines.

Qualifications

Ability to lead multi‑functional teams and build consensus among peers.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge and application of Systems Engineering processes and one or more Systems functions:

System Safety Engineering

System Fault Protection (Fault Isolation, Detection, and Recovery)

System Integration, Test, and/or Verification

Test planning and execution with an understanding of safety‑related testing

US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.

Desired Skills

Experience with DoD missile systems.

Experience working to MIL‑STD‑882E.

Experience coordinating with multiple engineering functions (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Flight Sciences, Materials, Manufacturing, Test, etc.).

Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering.

Active DoD security clearance.

Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance. US Citizenship is required for consideration.
