Correctly attired in uniform, equipment, and grooming
Emergency Care May Include, But Is Not Limited To
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, including the use of automatic external defibrillators (AEDs)
Provide pre‑hospital emergency medical care of simple and multiple system trauma
Bandaging wounds
Treatment of shock
Additional care is provided based upon the assessment of a patient and obtaining historical information.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency; collegiate coursework or an AA/AS degree preferred
Minimum 1 year of experience in law enforcement or security
Minimum 1 year as a National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certified EMT
Current SPO (Unarmed) license issued by the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Security Officers Management Branch (SOMB)
Carry and maintain an NREMT EMT Certification and an American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider certification
CPR Certification (or equivalent) and an “Advanced First Aid” card issued by the American Red Cross or equivalent
Pass suitability determination
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Training Requirements

Code Bravo
Watch Tour Procedures Certification
Requirements (All)
Unarmed SPO license issued by the District of Columbia and SOMB
Advanced First Aid card issued by the American Red Cross or equivalent
NREMT EMT Certification and an American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider CPR Certification (or equivalent)
Education Requirements

Associate degree
At least 2 years of college coursework

This is a Full and Part‑Time position: 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift, Weekends.
