Hourly Pay Range
$35.35 - $54.79 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position: Ultrasound/Vascular Technologist - Evenings
Location: Swedish Hospital, Chicago
Employment type: Full Time - 40 hours/week
Hours: Monday-Wednesday, 12:00pm - 8:30pm. Friday 11:00am - 7:30pm, Saturday 7:00am - 3:30pm
Rotating On call Required
Required Travel: No
A Brief Overview Performs all diagnostic ultrasound and vascular examinations for interpretation by a radiologist.
What You Will Do
Perform ultrasound exams.
Perform vascular exams.
Handle related paperwork.
Explain exams to patients.
Assist radiologist/physician with biopsies, specialized ultrasound and vascular exams.
Stock linens and supplies as needed.
Clean and maintain room/equipment.
Use and understand PACS utilization.
Promote timely workflow.
Adhere to all OSHA and Infection Control policies.
Assist in transporting acutely ill patients as needed.
Cope with clerical duties (phone, scheduling, computer entry, etc.).
Help maintain a safe and clean working environment for patients and co‑workers.
What You Will Need
High School Required.
Ability to handle ultrasound and vascular equipment and properly position patients; use good judgment for alternate scanning methods when standard imaging is impossible.
Practice good patient care without constant supervision.
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Required.
