Speech-Language Pathologist
to join our team. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work in a best-in-practice school that provides exceptional, relationship-centered services for children with autism and complex communication needs. At Emerald Learning Center, we celebrate all forms of communication and foster a collaborative, neurodiversity-affirming environment. Our interdisciplinary team includes special education teachers, BCBAs, OTs, and behavior technicians, all working together to support our students' growth.
Experience and Skills
Gestalt language processing
High-tech AAC implementation and programming
Push-in therapy models
Primary Responsibilities
Provide direct speech-language therapy as outlined in students’ IEPs
Maintain accurate and timely daily therapy notes
Program AAC devices and manage assistive technology
Participate as a member of IEP teams, including writing IEPs, conducting evaluations, and setting functional performance goals
Collaborate closely with OTs, BCBAs, and educators to ensure effective, coordinated support
Create and implement aided language supports to help students access the educational environment
Approach Our approach is functional, connection-based, and rooted in respect for each student’s unique communication style. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to design and deliver meaningful communication strategies that are embedded throughout the school day.
