About The Role The Senior Vice President of Contracts, Subcontracts, and Procurement is a high-ranking executive responsible for the strategic leadership, vision, and oversight of all acquisition, procurement, and contract management activities across the organization. This role ensures efficient, compliant, and cost‑effective acquisition of goods and services, while mitigating risk and aligning all strategies with the company's overarching business objectives. The SVP will lead and mentor a professional team, manage complex negotiations, and foster strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external customers and vendors. This is a remote position.
What You'll Be Doing
Develop and execute strategic sourcing and procurement plans that align with the organization’s mission and financial goals. Advise executive and senior leadership on matters impacting solicitation, compliance, and other procurement‑related activities.
Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from acquisition planning and proposal preparation to negotiation, award, administration, and close‑out. Ensure all prime contracts and associated subcontracts are managed promptly and effectively.
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks within the supply chain, contracts, and procurement processes to ensure business continuity and resilience.
Ensure all procurement and contracting activities adhere to applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, corporate policies, and ethical standards.
Lead the sourcing and evaluation of subcontractors and suppliers, manage vendor relationships, negotiate favourable terms and conditions, and monitor performance to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Develop, implement, and maintain robust procurement policies, procedures, and systems (e.g., ERP and e‑Procurement platforms) to optimize efficiency, transparency, and accountability.
Manage, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of contracts, subcontracts, and procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative and high‑accountability culture.
Oversee departmental budgets, drive cost‑reduction initiatives, and conduct price/cost analysis to ensure the best value for the company.
Other duties as assigned.
Who We're Looking For
Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum of 15 years of related experience in contracts and procurement, including at least 5 years in an executive or senior leadership role.
Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, both written and oral.
Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
In‑depth knowledge of contract law, regulations, and best practices in strategic sourcing and supply chain management.
Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, procurement software, and data analytics tools.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects, prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment, and drive results.
Salary $225,000 - $250,000 per year.
