Overview ABA Technician / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). Verbal Beginnings is a leading Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy provider serving children diagnosed with autism. We provide extensive training to anyone interested in learning about ABA therapy and autism and have a passion for working with children!
Schedule, Location and Compensation
When: Sessions typically occur 3-5 days per week for 2-3 hours, most often during after school hours between 3pm-8pm
Where: Sessions typically occur in the child’s natural environment (in the child’s home, community, and/or school)
Compensation: $20.00 - $29.00 per hour, based on experience and certifications

Responsibilities
ABA Technicians work under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans to address communication, behavior, feeding, ADLs, and social skills
Collect and record data to monitor the progress of a treatment plan and work in collaboration with the clinical supervisor to update the plan as necessary
Qualifications
Patience, compassion and the desire to help children with autism achieve their goals
Genuine desire to learn about Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy
Ability to work independently and collaborate with others
High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree (completed or in progress) preferred
Experience working with children
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
All ABA Technicians will be required to complete or provide proof of completion of the 40‑Hour RBT course (Verbal Beginnings will provide the course to those who need to complete it)
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to perform activities such as reaching, grasping, walking briskly or running, sitting on the floor, kneeling, crouching, ascending and descending stairs, and transitioning quickly between standing, sitting, and other positions
Ability to interact effectively by speaking clearly, using age‑appropriate language, and maintaining attention through verbal and non‑verbal communication
Must be able to independently operate a vehicle to travel to and from a client’s location
