Hourly Pay Range : $61.22 - $85.71 – The hourly rate is based on expertise, experience and other factors.
Position Highlights
Position: Advanced Practice Provider in the medical ICU
Location: Edward Hospital, Naperville, IL
Full Time: 36 hours per week
Hours: Rotating days/nights – 7A-7P or 7P-7A
Nights, weekends, and holidays required

Job Description Exciting opportunity to join Endeavor Health in the medical ICU. Under the direction of the collaborating physician, you will provide care to patients in the medical ICU at Edward Hospital. Your duties will include obtaining detailed history, performing physical examinations, ordering imaging, lab tests and diagnostic procedures, and interpreting results. You will instruct patients on the prescribed therapeutic regimen and pre/post operative instructions, maintain records, and write progress notes on status, treatments and procedures. You will follow patients through their course of treatment in the hospital setting, collaborate with physicians and the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes, and prescribe pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic therapies as appropriate. You will demonstrate evidence‑based practice, participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice in the specialty, assess the learning needs of patients and families, employ strategies and interventions to promote health, provide comprehensive assessments, formulate differential diagnoses, and prescribe treatments under the protocol in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease. Utilities include working autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams as resources and consultants, positively contributing to safety outcomes, promoting high quality patient experience, participating in service line goal development, supporting the organization’s strategic plan, and adhering to all Endeavor Health policies and procedures.
Qualifications
License: Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL required; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
Education: Completion of master’s level program in specialty area
Certification: BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS certification required
Experience: Critical care experience as an APP preferred; will consider new graduate ACNPs with prior critical care experience as an RN
