Responsibilities
Offline CNC programming for 3-5 axis mills. 2D and 3D surface milling is required
Offline CNC programming for Lathes
Support shop floor setups and knowledge transfer
Create documentation for the shop floor including tooling lists and setup sheets
Document standard machining and CNC setup practices
Design work-holding fixtures
Monitor and inspect parts throughout process.
Maintain clean and safe working environment.
Observe MCT quality and safety procedures.
May provide training to other team members.
Communicates and collaborates with team members in the sharing of information and solving technical issues
Qualifications/Requirements
High School Diploma or General Education (GED) required.
Demonstrated ability to program using CAD/CAM software, Vero SURFCAM or Autodesk Powermill experience is preferred
The ability to read blueprints and execute shop math.
Complete work in an accurate and timely manner.
Ability to work weekends and overtime as required.
Proficient understanding of G-code
Proficient understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong work ethic and high attention to detail
Flexible, ability to work in a fast-pace team environment
Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information
Self-motivated and able to take responsibility
Must read and write English
Preferred Requirements
Associate degree in a relevant field and/or other technical certification or equivalent experience.
2-5 years minimum experience in Robot CNC programming
Ability to program mill-turn or live spindle lathes
Proficiency with Vector mathematics
Ability to edit and create CAM Post Processors
