Primary Responsibilities The Demand Planner will be responsible for managing forecasts and the demand planning activities at multiple levels of hierarchy within their assigned area. This role will support the demand planning responsibilities for the S&OP process. Additionally, the Demand Planner will play a critical role in managing the overall relationships between the KeHE supply chain organization, DC Operations, and the independent and regional account teams to facilitate seamless integration between customer and KeHE order management processes & systems. Essential Functions DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive results towards company and demand specific KPIs (Forecast Accuracy, Bias outbound fill rate, promotional execution, inventory turnover, and spoils).
Seasonal Planning and profile maintenance for key holidays and repeatable events
On‑going forecast maintenance (base and total) and exception management within the forecasting system.
Partner with the appropriate Supply Chain Solutions Lead/Acct Team to integrate key account/channel demand into the overall DC/item forecasted need.
Collaborate with both internal and external business partners to ensure alignment between forecast and execution.
Utilize internal data to quickly recognize changes in sales trends to drive a proactive response across the supply chain.
Subject Matter Expert for demand contributing to regularly scheduled meeting with business partners to review performance against expectations, KPI’s and areas of opportunity.
Provide data driven insight and actionable feedback to all internal and external partners regarding quality/accuracy of event based sales projections.
Support projects as needed.
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Prior experience in food industry and/or code sensitive product environment preferred.
Outstanding communication (both verbal and written) and relationship management skills.
Experience leveraging AI embedded systems and tools supporting Supply Chain activities
Capable of influencing & educating organization on supply chain and forecasting success factors
Ability to prioritize workload to have the most significant impact on customer satisfaction and performance to KPI’s.
Intermediate to advanced excel capabilities, including V‑lookups, Pivot tables, etc.
Willingness to collaborate and continuous improvement mindset
Adaptability/change management
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering or related field
1–3 years of forecasting/planning experience in a high SKU, slow movement environment
Utilizing advanced planning systems such as BlueYonder, o9, Relex, SAP/APO, Manhattan DFIO, etc.
Solid understanding of applicable statistical concepts needed to appropriately “tune” forecasts.
Outstanding analytical skills with demonstrated success organizing, analyzing and accurately interpreting large amounts of data.
