Lead Design Engineer - PE License Required

Lead Design Engineer RealREPP, a national full-service recruiting firm, is partnering with a well-established MEP/engineering firm headquartered in La Mirada, CA to assist in hiring an experienced Lead Design Engineer.

Open to working at any of the regional offices: La Mirada, CA; Houston, TX; Austin, TX; Charlotte, NC; Portland, OR; Sumner, WA; Fremont, CA.

Base Pay Range $120,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

Senior technical experience with Capitol Projects division

Perform kit takeoffs for quoting/ordering materials

Generate seismic bracing layouts

Provide seismic design support for non-structural components

Support engineering tasks

Mentor junior engineers

Collaborate with all departments to deliver seismic design solutions

Maintain department equipment/devices

Assist with onboarding, training & communication with engineering staff

Qualifications

5+ years design engineering experience

Experience with non-structural seismic bracing design (MEP)

PE license required (any state)

Experience on data center projects (highly preferred)

Experience on large-scale projects (required)

Strong knowledge of ASCE, IBC, ACI, UFC

Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam (required)

Compensation Package

Base Salary $120-180k+ (based on experience)
