This is a Controls Engineer role with a manufacturing company located near O’Hare. The position is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting electrical control systems within a metal manufacturing environment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of automated equipment and production processes
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Professional Engineering (PE) license
Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
Knowledge of HMI and SCADA systems
Familiarity with industrial networking protocols and standards
Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong project management skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in using CAD software for control system design
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Hands-on experience with robotics and automation
Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience in controls engineering or a similar role
Proficiency in control system design and implementation
Strong understanding of PLCs, DCS, and HMI systems
Skilled in the use of programming languages such as ladder logic, C, or Python

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Controls, or similar engineering discipline
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with industrial automation, PLC programming (Rockwell Studio 5000, Siemens), HMIs, SCADA, VFDs, servo drives, robotic control, and fieldbus networks (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, DeviceNet)
Proficiency in electrical drawing tools (AutoCAD LT, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical)
Familiarity with safety and control standards such as GuardLogix, RSLogix Guard Plus, NEC/NFPA codes

Salary ranginging from $80,000 – $135,000 depedning on experience
