Shift & Schedule Details
36 to 48‑hour night shifts
Travelers assigned a home unit but may be floated up to three times per shift, with staffing assessments every 4 hours
Union contract requires travelers to float first
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive critical care nursing in the ICU, delivering high‑quality patient‑centered care
Monitor patients’ medical status and respond to emergencies with clinical precision
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
Adapt quickly to floating assignments and varying patient acuity levels within the unit
