PRN during clinic hours of Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm
General Description Provides quality care to the patients receiving Interventional Radiology procedures, under the direct and indirect supervision of the qualified Medical Provider. The PRN CT Technologist will work closely with the surgical team to operate the machinery for interventional radiology procedures and imaging. We are looking for a reliable compassionate individual to add to our team who will join in our mission of redefining healthcare to radically impact patient lives.
Essential Job Duties
Perform diagnostic / therapeutic procedures by operating CT machinery under the direction of a radiologist
Act as a resource to patients and staff for additional perspective and education regarding CT processes and options
Administer contrast materials as needed and be able to assist in intervention in the event of an emergency response
Work closely with physicians and medical staff to maintain exceptional and precise care throughout each procedure
Assist patients into positions using safe patient handling techniques and equipment
Evaluate equipment for quality assurance and contact service for repairs / maintenance as needed
Document all quality control testing according to department protocol
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Current RT(R) and CT certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Current Arizona Medical Radiologic Technologist licensure (MRT) in Radiography (CRT) and Computed Tomography (CTCT)
Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in interventional radiology
2+ years of CT experience
