Substance Use Counselor – East Brunswick, NJ

Location: East Brunswick, NJ Compensation: $52,000 – $55,000 per year with a $2,500 Sign‑On Bonus.
Responsibilities
Provide individual, group, and family counseling for the OP/IOP adolescent program.
Conduct substance use and mental health assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning.
Identify and implement community‑based prevention education.
Serve as a member of the treatment team for adolescents with substance use and co‑occurring disorders.
Maintain accurate records and provide case management under clinical supervision by an LCADC or CCS.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience in the substance abuse field.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
Professional licensure (CADC, LCADC) or qualification for licensing is required.
Strong foundation in substance abuse knowledge and ASAM criteria.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
