Responsibilities
The staff RN provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. The RN functions within the framework of Piedmont policies and procedures, demonstrates professional growth and accountability, maintains standards of practice, and coordinates patient care activities of all assigned staff to provide quality nursing care. Qualifications
Graduate from a nursing program – Required Bachelor’s Degree – Preferred Licenses & Certifications
RN – Registered Nurse – Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure – Current – Required BCLS – Basic Life Support – Required Additional Certifications
Advanced certification in field of specialty – if applicable (see addendum) Addendum Certifications by Specialty
Cardiac Tele – ACLS Certification – Required within 180 days Critical Care – ACLS Certification – Required within 180 days Dialysis – CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate) – Preferred Emergency Department – ACLS and PALS Certification – Required within 180 days Infusion/Oncology – Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification – Required upon hire Pediatrics – PALS Certification – Required within 180 days Surgical Services – PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU ACLS; PALS for pediatric – Required within 180 days Women’s Services – Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification – Required within 180 days; NRP, AWHONN, Fetal Monitoring Program – Required within specified timelines Business Unit
