Job Description
Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam.
Positions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high‑quality imaging.
Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.
Qualification Requirements
Associate or High School Graduate (Required)
Basic Life Support – CPR Certificate (BLS)
Certified Radiologic Technologist (R.T.-CERT) – EV Accredited Issuing Body, Department of Safety and Professional Services Licensed (DSPS-LIC)
Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT) – EV Accredited Issuing Body, Licensed Radiology Technologist – Kansas State Board of Healing Arts (L.R.T.)
Medical Radiation Technology – IEMA (MRT-IEMA) – EV Accredited Issuing Body
Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT) – EV Accredited Issuing Body
Registered Technologist – Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)) – ARRT – EV Accredited Issuing Body
Pay Range $31.03 – $57.72 per hour
