Job title: Engineering Project Manager – Heavy Industrial / EPC Client: Myticas Consulting Location: Cincinnati, Ohio, United States – Hybrid (on-site/remote) Contract type: Contract Salary: $60–$80 per hour (depending on experience); access to client benefits package About The Role
Myticas Consulting is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead complex engineering projects for a leading heavy industrial client in sectors such as oil & gas, chemical, pulp & paper, power, and other process industries. In this hybrid role, based out of Cincinnati, OH (preferred), Salt Lake City, UT, or Reston, VA, you will manage EPC/engineering firm projects from front-end engineering through detailed design and execution, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll own the full project lifecycle, from defining scope and success criteria to coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, controlling costs, and nurturing long-term client relationships. Manage all aspects of engineering business projects from inception through execution Develop and document the scope of work (SOW) and understand project success criteria Ensure client expectations are met and value is consistently delivered to build trust Develop, track, and control project costs, schedule, and resources Identify and communicate changes to SOW and manage change control Identify and effectively respond to client issues and needs Ensure client policies and procedures are communicated to and followed by the project team Review, manage, and approve all project deliverables Secure resources needed for the team to execute work effectively (drawings, reports, site visits, etc.) Ensure POs are received before work begins; manage work within approved budget and follow up on timely invoicing and payment Anticipate and help develop future work opportunities associated with ongoing projects Requirements
Must be based within commuting distance of Cincinnati, OH; Salt Lake City, UT; or Reston, VA, with the ability to work in a hybrid on-site/remote schedule Minimum 5 years of project management experience leading engineering projects in EPC or engineering consulting firm environments Proven experience managing heavy industrial projects (e.g., oil & gas, chemical, pulp & paper, power, or similar sectors) Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in engineering or a closely related discipline Experience delivering engineering projects across front-end and detailed engineering phases while managing budget, schedule, and deliverables from initiation through successful completion Demonstrated client-facing and account management skills, developing opportunities within existing industrial or engineering clients Preferred Skills
